History of Homy paris
We are Italian and our story begins with a trip to Paris 20 years ago. We fell in love with this city, its cobbled alleys, outdoor cafés and extraordinary gastronomy, so much so that we decided to move here after a few months. From constantly changing houses while renting, we ended up buying our first 30m² flat in the 13th arrondissement. But after 15 years, the need and desire to have a more comfortable space where we could live and welcome our family and friends to share unforgettable moments, made us reflect and open up to new possibilities.
As in all big cities, the cost of living is onerous and Paris is no different. So we were at a crossroads: leave Paris or find a bigger flat that could, at the same time, finance and support our investment. One day, reading an article about the shortage of new residences in Paris, we discovered the possibility of creating new housing by developing the city vertically, building new solutions on existing buildings. As luck would have it, our 30m² flat was right on the top floor and we seized the opportunity and threw ourselves enthusiastically into this new adventure.

We had the idea of building a solution that could solve both of our needs: by raising the building by two storeys, we were able to create a dwelling large enough to be divided into several rooms that could allow us to finance part of the investment while at the same time offering travellers the opportunity to live the authentic Parisian experience.
